Really I haven’t fallen of the planet!
Instead I have picked up a full time job at Elk Hill Farm a residential facility for troubled boys. I’ve also moved (to an old house with a very shady yard that promises to be a challenge) and am up to my neck in projects as always.
Still I think it’s important to continue this site and the publishing of gardening and sustainable living information on the web, so I’ll be updating this blog again on a regular basis (though probably not daily as Internet access is a bit tricky at the moment)
Not much gardening to be done at the moment though I do have some herbs and mums in pots on the porch. I’m actually thinking of trying my hand at growing climbing roses in pots next summer as the house has a patio style veranda in front with pillar which would look better if they were covered in a growing blooming plant.
The back yard is long and narrow and has been a “play area” for the landlords two samll children for the past several years. Needless to say there is nothing growing there at all but plenty of mud and mosquitos!
I’ll be planning a number of things to make this space into a comfortable and usable extension of the house and will keep you updated.
