I thought I would post some resources for those of you looking for the simple life today. I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to live a frugal and simplified life and I wanted to share some things that I’ve found helpful.

One magazine that is always full of great articles and helpful hints is Countryside and Small Stock Journal. Countryside as it usually known has been around for 85 years and is always something to fight over in my house! Most of the magazine deals with country living but a lot of it is also for people in cities who want to simplify their lives.

I also recently found a woman in California who is dedicated to staying home with her kids and who makes soaps and bath items in order to suppliment her husbands income so she can stay home with her kids. We got into a long discussion the other day about ways to budget etc in order to have the kind of lifestyle that you want… Its nice to know I’m not the only person thinking this way!

For those of your in the local area you can come down to the 17th Street Farmers’ Market on Saturdays for free classes that will get you started in living the simple life.

Gardening, cooking, sewing whatever way you use to make your lifestyle uniquely your own… Enjoy it!
